David had a developmental evaluation early in Dec to determine if he has autism which they concluded they didn't. I really didn't think so but it is nice to know for sure. They will just monitor him every couple of months. Brandon did not end up needing the braces for his legs, and they will continue to monitor him also. David has a feeding evaluation at the end of the month b/c at the devlopmental evaluation I told them what a picky eater he was and they suggested to bring him in. I have to bring all the different foods he likes and doesn't like when I go. I am hoping they can give me suggestions on just getting him to taste different things b/c that is the biggest battle for me. David started speech, but he is still not talking. When he wants you to do something, he takes you by the hand and brings you wherever he wants to go, usually the toy room or the pantry for goldfish. He almost says go. When the boys were racing cars, I said ready, set, and David would say oh. He doesn't have the ga part yet. Brandon says woe and wee. Today, I took Brandon to get a new splint for his left hand. It is called a thumb loop. It holds his thumb open, and he needs to wear it all day. It is much smaller than the splint he just wears for naps.
Xmas was great. We had Xmas eve at Nonna's and Xmas day was at our house, except Daddy threw out his back so Mommy had to do all the work herself. Daddy actually went for an MRI today b/c he is going to have surgery for his back. The boys loved their presents which was mostly Thomas the train stuff and car stuff. Daddy got a trip to Las Vegas with his friend to watch the Super Bowl. We were supposed to go to the city to see the tree etc. after Xmas but b/c of the big storm we had the city was a mess and we had to cancel. It was such a great week with Nico off from school and the boys had no therapy. I needed a break from the routine. But now we are back to school and therapy. Although Nico had strep last week and missed Thurs and Fri. Nico has swimming on Mondays, CCD on Tuesdays, Karate on Thursdays, and basketball, baseball, and gymnastics on Saturday. His schedule is full.
