Last Tuesday, the boys went to the doctor for their 15 month old check-up (12 months corrected) Brandon weighed in at 20lbs14oz and David was 20lbs8oz. They received 2 shots and everything went along fine. The very next day they started to get sick. The following Thursday we are back at the doctor. David has an ear infection and Brandon has a very bad cough. They are both on antibiotics again. This is the 4th day taking their antibiotic. They are fever free but still have their cough and congestion. They also received their synergist shots that day. They only have to get those shots for one more month and then never again because they have outgrown the risk for RSV.
On Wednesday, we had the follow-up at the hospital. It is a program the hospital has to follow the preemies until they are 3. They officially diagnosed Brandon with Cerebral Palsy due to left hemiparesis which means his left side is weaker and stiffer than his right and will have certain limitations. Although we knew deep down Brandon would probably have some form of CP, it is still devastating to hear it out loud. But having the official diagnosis will make it easier with the insurance company in terms of getting services for him. David did very well at the follow-up.
The boys have officially started eating table food. Brandon will pretty much eat anything I put in front of him. He has had pancakes, scrambled eggs, bologna, ham, cheese, broccolli, french fries, and of course bread. David picks up everything I give him and proceeds to throw it on the floor. He prefers to eat off of the spoon, so he is still getting the baby jarred food. But he will eat french fries and bread. (just like his Dad-a picky eater)
Now that the boys are feeling a little better, they are back sleeping through the night which makes everyone very happy!

We are comforted, Jesus, knowing that You embraced and blessed children brought to You by their parents, saying “Let the children come to Me…for the Kingdom of God belongs
to such as these”. Lord, please heal and nurture our premature babies, especially now and through-out their earthly and heavenly lives.

I hope the boys get better real soon. The same thing happening on this end My mom was sick when we visited them down in Florida so of course who got sick when we got home? Alyssa. She has the same thing terrible congestion &cough. I kept asking heer all last week does your ear hurt. " no mommy" of course at 10:30p on sat. night alyssa screaming from ear pain. so i have to call the dr for drops. Thank god the covering dr was so nice he actually called us on sunday to see how she was and asked us to bring her up to the office. What a dr seeing pt's on a sunday. i couldnt believe it. so it turns out she has 2 ear infections so she is on antibiotics for 10days. we are supposed to go to atlantic city BAlly's for the weekend but might not be able to since she cant swim with the ear infections.
Alyssa is also a picky eater. she mostly eats chicken potstickers she loves them.
My love to all. By the way I sent you something that was in the lobby. I hope you got it. It looked important wanted to makesure you got it. makesure you change the address.
