On Oct 5th, we went to the 26th Annual NICU Alumni picnic. It is for all the babies who have "graduated" from the NICU. It was so nice. It is given by the doctors. There was tons of food - hamburgers, hot dogs, and ice cream etc. They had tons of things for kids to do. Nico had a blast. Nonna came too. She watched Nico, and we were able to catch up with the other parents and babies who were in the NICU the same time as we were. All the babies were doing really well. We also saw a lot of the nurses. It was really a wonderful day.
This past weekend we went to the Great Wolff Lodge (the indoor water park). We stayed Sat until Mon morning. Zia Alie came with us. Nico of course loved it. There was a log cabin in the room with bunk beds and it's own TV which he did not want to get out of. The water was a little cold for the babies and they now runny noses. But Zia and I took them on the lazy river for about an hour. They loved it. Anthony and family came on Sunday, and we all had a great time.
Brandon got his first haircut on Tuesday. He looks like such a big boy now. He is officially sitting up unassisted and rolling from back to belly all over the place. The physical therapist is still working on his stiffness and now on crawling.
David is ready to crawl any minute. He goes on his hands and knees and rocks back and forth. I can't wait...
