So we went to the hospital this morning all worried about David's stomach surgery, but before we could deal with that ordeal we were dealt some very bad news about Brandon. Brandon had a level 4 brain bleed and that gives him a very high chance of getting some form of cerebral palsy.
David ended up having a really bad blockage that was helped along by the doctor, so the intestine did not have be operated on, but he will have a small scar for now where the incision was done. They have to temporarily paralyze the body for the operationso David is having the vent do all the breathing for him now. He should get back to where he was some time in the next 2 days.
Brandon is doing wonderful on the conventional vent, and by looking at him or his stats you would not know that they he a brain bleed. Brooke and I were able to hold him today, I think it was a method of the NICU to get us through David's surgery. The possible outcomes for both boys was always unsure, but the brain bleed doesnt help Brandon's chances to be a normal healthy baby. He also has a PDA issue with his heart that is being treated with medication. David had the same issue last week and it was corrected.
I dont feel like typing any more for now. It was a very tough long day. I am on my way back to the hospital.

Ben and I have you all in our thoughts and prayers. We've got you on just about every prayer list we know of, so know that there are a lot of people out there praying for your boys! Let us know if there is anything we can do.
