Midday Update

Well.. Boys are ok.. We were there for rounds and asked some questions.. we heard things like "ok but not great", "wait and see", "not much we can do".. I would say that both Brooke and I are feeling more concerned about the boys then we were this morning.

David is on 38% oxy (they want this in the 20's, and eventually 21%). His white blood cells are still elevated, but they dont think its an infection. They x-rayed his chest and bowels this morning. They gave him a dietretic so that he will lose some of the liquid in his body, but (there is always a but) he may urinate out chemicals he needs. He has not had a bowel movement in 30 hours, so his bowel may still not be functioning properly. They are upping his feedings to 7mls to see if that helps his bowel function.

Brandon was giving his nurse a workout, with his stats dropping and rising as she was working on him. His hydrocephelus will be checked on thursday even though it sounds like they can't do much if it is getting worse. His white blood cell count is elevated also, but they think it might be his body still reacting to the brain bleed.

As soon as the waters seem to be calming we got another storm... Strap yourselves in.
